About Us

It makes sense that the best kind of veterinarian is a pet lover himself – and that is exactly how Dr. David Stone is. Dr. Stone, along with his staff, have turned a home into the Shepherdsville Animal Hospital. From the minute you walk through the clinic's doors, both you and your pet will be surrounded by a warm and inviting atmosphere. At S.A.H., we want it to feel like more than just a home. We want it to feel like a place where the animals feel they are going into a friendly, caring and welcoming place.

Dr. Stone treats for canine distemper, adenovirus, and parvo virus and cat-specific viruses caused by feline leukemia virus (feLV). The clinic offers a simple blood test to determine whether or not your cat has been exposed to the disease. Shepherdsville Animal Hospital offers rabies and bordetella vaccines as well as heartworm prevention treatments. Dental care, grooming, vaccinations, routine care, weight loss and preventative care, x-ray and surgical procedures are also offered.
Joining Dr. Stone's practice is Dr. Heather Thomas, DVM. She's a 2007 Auburn graduate who enjoys outdoor activities such as camping with her family and being around her animals. She lives on a small farm in Valley Station with her husband and three kids, as well as a goat, potbelly pig, chickens, 4 dogs, 2 cats, 1 horse and even a Texas longhorn.

We are conveniently located just ¼ mile off the Shepherdsville/Mt. Washington exit on 65, going east on 44 toward Mt. Washington. No one will give you better quality care at our reasonable prices. We offer spay and neuter services on weekdays. Contact us for an appointment or go to our Services page for more information.
